PI&RS Module 3: Intro to ERDAS Imagine and Digital Data

Image
Hello friends,  For Module 3 in Photo Interpretation and Remote Sensing, I learned how to use ERDAS Imagine for the first time using digital data.  I learned about and how to use the Viewer to view data in ERDAS Imagine and subset data in ERDAS Imagine as a preprocessing step for making a map in ArcGIS.  This maps shows a small subset of an image that was exported from ERDAS Imagine to ArcGIS. ERDAS Imagine has its own unique map-making system but I transferred the data to ArcGIS due to the cause of program crash.  Thank you,  Desirie Luayon

Module 2 Photo Interpretation and Remote Sensing: Land Use and Land Classification

Image
Hey Friends!  For module 2, I learned how to use land use/land cover on an aerial photo in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The map below shows land use/land cover based on the code and color. The legend shows a description of each land use/land cover code. Along with the classification, I had to practice ground truthing and accuracy assessment. The red and green dots demonstrates the accuracy of my land use/land cover.  Overall, I think I did good.  Thanks,  Desirie Luayon
